Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Quizzboard ("Quizzboard," "we," or "us") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Quizzboard website and app.

Information We Collect

Google account information. If you sign in with Google, we receive a verified Google account identifier, your email address, and your profile display name. We use this information to create and secure your Quizzboard account. Quizzboard does not receive or store your Google password, access your Gmail, or access your Google Drive.

Quiz and study information. We may store quizzes you save or publish, builder and editing drafts, saved library quizzes, answers, flags, quiz progress, completion status, attempts, scores, missed-question history, and related timestamps.

Public content. Quizzes published to the Quiz Library, including titles, descriptions, questions, answer choices, explanations, tags, author names, and remix information, are publicly accessible.

Usage and technical information. We collect information such as pages visited, quiz loads, quiz starts and completions, scores associated with public quiz events, IP address, approximate country or city, browser or device user agent, and referring page. This helps operate, secure, troubleshoot, and understand use of the service.

Reports and communications. If you submit a bug or content report, we store the report, optional contact information, relevant quiz or question details, page path, IP address, approximate country, and device information.

Local device data. Quizzboard uses browser storage and similar technologies to keep preferences, drafts, sessions, and progress available on your device. Signed-in account data may also be synchronized to our servers.

How We Use Information

Google Sign-In

Quizzboard uses Google Identity Services for authentication. Google confirms your identity and provides limited profile information after you choose to sign in. Quizzboard uses this data only to authenticate you, create your account, and provide the account features described in this policy.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your Google account information for advertising.

Information may be processed by service providers needed to operate Quizzboard, including Cloudflare for hosting, security, networking, analytics infrastructure, and database storage, and Google for authentication. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users or the service, investigate abuse, or respond to valid legal requests.

Information you intentionally publish to the Quiz Library is public and may be viewed, copied, taken, shared, or remixed by other users.

Data Retention

We retain account and synchronized study data while your account remains active and as reasonably needed to provide the service. Public quizzes may remain available until removed by their owner or an administrator. Security, analytics, report, and backup records may be retained as reasonably necessary for operations, abuse prevention, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.

Your Choices

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS, server-side Google token verification, hashed session tokens, access controls, and Cloudflare security services. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Quizzboard is not designed to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can review and remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Quizzboard changes. The effective date above will be revised when material updates are published.
